Indefinite Delivery Contract

Definition

An Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) is a vehicle that has been awarded to one or more vendors to facilitate the delivery of supply and service orders.  An Indefinite Delivery Vehicle (IDV) is established by an award from the FSS, GWAC, BOA, etc.  The determination of the type of IDV is defined by the requirements of the FAR.

There are three types of Indefinite Delivery Contracts (IDC):

 

Indefinite Quantity Contracts are sometimes referred to as Task Order and Delivery Order Contracts.
