We receive the Treasury Account Symbols (TAS) XML file every Friday at 10:00 PM EST. The received file will be processed on Sunday and the updated Treasury Account symbols will be available for use on Monday at 9:00 AM.

V 1.3 Deprecation Print

NOTICE: FPDS-NG Version 1.3 has been deprecated as of December 31,2010.

Departments/Agencies using COTS/GOTS Contract Writing Systems integrated with FPDS-NG Version 1.3 must upgrade their systems to integrate with FPDS-NG Version 1.4.

NIA - Haiti Earthquake 2010 Print

National Interest Action (NIA) value 'Haiti Earthquake 2010’ expiration date has been extended from 03/18/2011 to 01/15/2012

For  Web Portal users the value Haiti Earthquake 2010 is available for selection in the National Interest Action field dropdown. The Contract Writing systems shall use the code ‘Q10H’ when creating/updating documents through Business Services.

National Interest Action value Haiti Earthquake 2010 is valid from 01/13/2010 to 01/15/2012.

Wiki Documentation Print

FPDS-NG documentation is now being offered in Wiki format. The new format are fast, searchable and allows easy navigation of the interlinked web pages.

Fast: Wiki format documents are published using HTML and CSS pages, making them faster to download and render.

Searchable: The documents published in Wiki format are searchable both by title and full-text.  

IBM is working with GSA to present the FPDS-NG documentation with meaningful topic associations by linking the documents and making then intuitive and easy to navigate.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) Print

FPDS-NG system will be using the "Description of Requirements" data element to track the Recovery Act spending. This data element is currently open and available on all actions. Starting April 3, 2009, this data element will be made mandatory on all actions and a Treasury Account Symbol format validation rule will be instituted. Any actions using Recovery Act funds must include the applicable Treasury Account Symbol in the "Description of Requirements" data element.

The format of the Treasury Account Symbol must be as follows:

  • TAS::XX XXXX XXX::TAS (if you are using a sub-account code) or
  • TAS::XX XXXX::TAS (if you are not using a sub-account code)
